Employment Opportunities for Educators at the Ontario College of Teachers

College members with demonstrated leadership in the profession are invited to apply to the following positions that have become available as limited term secondment opportunities as a result of staff retirements or leaves of absence:

Bilingual Program Officer in Standards of Practice and Education (posting # 04-18)

  • supporting the Standards of Practice and Education Committee through research, analysis and development of policies and programs related to initial and ongoing teacher education and teaching practices. This position is open to educators with demonstrated successful teaching leadership, program development and research experience. Excellent writing and group presentation skills in French and English are required for this position. Preference will be given to educators with knowledge of and experience in Ontario's French-language education system. This position's term runs to June 30, 2005.

Program Officer in Standards of Practice and Education (posting # 04-19)

  • supporting the Standards of Practice and Education Committee through research, analysis and development of policies and programs related to initial and ongoing teacher education and teaching practices. This position is open to educators with demonstrated successful teaching leadership, program development and research experience. This position's term runs to December 31, 2004.

Program Officer in Accreditation (posting # 04-20)

  • supporting the Accreditation Committee in reviewing teacher education programs. Educators with a solid knowledge of teacher education as well as successful program development and review experience are eligible for this position. This position's term runs to December 31, 2005.

For each of these positions, demonstrated excellent research, writing and group presentation skills are required.
