The term of accreditation for each program ends with the programs' second graduating class. Redeemer has been offering a Bachelor of Christian Education degree for 13 years, but graduates were only qualified to teach at private schools. The new programs will officially start in September 2004. The responsibility for accrediting faculty of education programs gives
Ontario teachers a unique role in directing their profession. The College
is the first of Canada's self-regulatory bodies authorized to accredit
education programs for both existing members and those entering the profession. |
